My weimaraner "Suede" began his training with Diane in the puppy class. He is now seven. Thank you for helping to teach him with love, how to be such a "Good Dog"!

I first met Diane Sullivan in the Spring
of 2002. Although I had just lost a senior Border Collie to cancer, with
a totally broken heart, I found myself with a new baby to raise for the
first time in many years. I had forgotten the amount of energy a young
pup, much less a Border Collie projects from every cell in their little
bodies. People who say Border Collies are for experienced handlers and
those with lot's of time to give, are correct. Fortunately, I work at home.
I received my little fella much too early because of circumstances beyond the
control of best conditions. The mother dog was not producing enough milk for
the entire litter and the pups were being supplimented by bottle feedings of
fresh goat's milk. Knowing I was experienced with pups and that I had raised
another orphan in the past on a bottle, my little fella made the trip home with
my husband & I at the age of 4 weeks. He quickly became a bouncy, curious little boy coming full throttle "in my face" 24/7. He only dropped over to sleep in 10-15 minute increments every 4-5 hrs before he was right back full throttle again. Between trying to keep up with him, and taking him everywhere in public I could think of to give him as much socialization as I possibly could, I sure wasn't getting much "work" done at home. By the age of 3 months, I was fully aware that I was going to need HELP, if I was going to keep his brain busy with good things to do and not give him time to make up "bad" games of his own that would only get him into trouble (AND make living with him unpleasant for all of us). That's when I called Good Dog Training Center and talked with Diane. I took my little boy over for Diane to evaluate. Diane checked him out and watched us playing games together that I had already been doing with him to help occupy his energy...Diane joined in and played with him too. His age was way more suited to puppy kindergarten, but Diane felt his focus MIGHT be ready for beginner's class....so we started him in the next beginner's class a few weeks later. I was SO looking forward to the class starting because I was running out of ideas for "new" things to learn that he could understand. Class time was fun !! I could say the words "school, class or homework" and the dance steps our little guy did would have made the entire cast of Flash Dance envious !! Diane made it fun and interesting to learn, both for our little fella and for my husband & I. She explained "the why's" behind her training methods and how reaching into the world of "dog language" opens new depth of understanding between you and your canine family member. It seemed to me that for every step Diane taught us to take into our little guy's dog world, he was thrilled and that much more eager to step further into our world of behavior that we wanted from him. It has been an amazing experience to see that twinkling light of understanding and knowledge grow in his eyes as we've continued Diane's method of training. At 9 months old, our little guy tested for & earned his Canine Good Citizenship. By the age of 2 yrs, he had passed CD Level obedience. We did not pursue obedience competition, choosing to begin our first classes in herding with Middle Tennessee Stock Dog Association. Our little guy is now 4 days shy of his 4th Birthday and he's the "beat" of our hearts, the "drummer" of our lifestyle, and "the muse" of happy entertainment to others most everywhere we go. My husband and I know we owe everything to Diane and her methods. She IS the Dog Whisperer, without question. You only have to look into our fella's eyes to see the shining light she put there !! Thanks so much, Diane !!! We wish you much happiness in your new location, but want you to know that you're really missed here in Tennessee. Vickie & Art Young....and our fella, one of your "Good Dogs in Tennessee"...ZIP

Diane was a tremendous help when I adopted a stray
dog. To say this dog was wild is an understatement. With Dianes help & patience,
Zelda turned into one of the best dogs we ever had. I highly recommend
Diane as a dog trainer.

The GoodDog Training Facility is the best I have ever experienced. The trainer, Diane, is fabulous with animals, and truly knows how to communicate in the best and most gentle way. It's so fun for your dog to learn new things as well. Be sure to read the articles on this site as well.

Training with Good Dog Training and Diane Sullivan,
was an exceptional training experience for me and my "Good Dog". Diane
could easily be called the "Dog
Whisperer". My blonde Labrador Retreiver, "Jackson" began training with Diane at 5 mths old in Puppy training. He continued through all levels of classes. He was then afforded "one on one" private lessons with Diane and earned his "Canine Good Citizen Award" at
the age of two. The training methods of Diane are amazing! I would not trust
another trainer other than Diane. Your dog companion deserves the best quality
of life and with Good Dog, you will give them that chance. The training is fun
for both you and your dog. The skills will stay with your dog as long as you
continue to remind them of their skills. Be sure to let your dog know how proud
you are of them. They love to please you.... and with Good Dog Training - your
dog will look forward to showing off the new things they have learned. Be sure
to visit my Labrador
site where you can see what a "Good Dog", I have! www.argentdesign.net/lablink
